چکیده

Malignant pericardial effusion (MPE) is a slowly progressive and potentially clinically silent condition. Pericardial can arise in oncology patients due to several factors, including disease spreading directly or metastatically, anticancer therapy side effects, both. Solid hematological malignancy metastasis more frequently involves the pericardium than primary tumors, with lung cancer being most common metastatic tumor involve pericardium. While 5%-20% of all neoplasms have involvement, MPE rarely appears hemodynamic instability. Occasionally, constitutes initial manifestation an underlying malignancy. Diagnosis treatment require multidisciplinary approach high degree clinical suspicion. We present case 59-year-old female history peritoneal carcinoma who presented persistent dyspnea on exertion following episode pneumonia that was treated antibiotics. Physical examination bedside point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) revealed fluid sac. The cytological it be malignant origin, resulting from gynecologic adenocarcinoma. Pericardiocentesis done, symptoms improved after drainage.
